A Scar comes from a wound, sometimes just a little hurt. An injury that breaks the skin always leaves a scar. Often they turn out to be little and we hardly notice them.
Other times we’ll have a terrible wound and it leaves quite an ugly scar. Then there are the times when we’ll get a little nick and it forms a scab. The scab gets disrupted and falls off or we’ll pick at it and the wound opens up again. That starts the whole healing process over, forming another scab and leaving quite an ugly scar.
Of course you realize that I’m not really talking about your body here. I’m referring to the cuts, and wounds that are caused to our spirit, soul, and mind. For some reason these wounds take forever to heal and the scars left are disfiguring. They cause us to change. The thing that caused the scar might have happened years before but the scar remains, a constant reminder of the hurt that was caused to us.
Jesus said;
Give it to Me I’ll bear it.
Give it to Me I’ll share it.
If there’s a need in your life I’ll take it,
If you’ll only give it to Me.
You’ll have the victory if you’ll only give it to Me.
One of the newest procedures in plastic surgery is scar revision. They take a laser to it and some how the technology removes it. Oh if only they had that for the scars that are inside of us. I’m here to share with you that there is a revision for the terrible scars left by abuse, neglect, or any kind of spiritual or mental injury you might have experienced. That Revisionist is Jesus, lover and healer of our soul.
A lot of the time the scar is a sign of a deep, severe injury. We look at it and think well it healed and only the scar is left. But yet there is pain in that area, terrible mind numbing pain, and
depression is often the result.
My purpose here is to share with you that you need take Jesus by the hand and lead Him to the exact spot in your life where the scar and injury happened. Take His hand now and walk Him to those places in your life where you are hurting. Let Him revise your scars and take away your pain.
As the old song says “Give it to Jesus”. Let Him be your burden bearer and your healer. Remember Jesus can heal you everywhere you hurt.
May God add a blessing to these words, Amen
